Food Hygiene & Safety

Holiday Inn Resort® Baruna Bali has been granted HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) certification, which strengthens and solidifies the resort’s ongoing Food Safety Management System.

The HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point) is widely recognized by scientific authorities and international organizations as the most effective approach for food production safety. It is a process control system designed to identify and prevent microbial and other hazards in food production. The system takes steps to prevent problems before they occur and to correct deviations as soon as they are detected.

More About HACCP : 
In order to obtain the certification, our resort went through a detailed analysis and audit process of various food procedures from procurement, storage and handling of food products to processing, cooking, distribution and consumption conducted by a German-based accreditation body, PT. TUV Nord Indonesia.

The HACCP system was introduced in the United States in early1970s by the Pillsbury Company in collaboration with the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) and the US Army Natick Research and Development Laboratories to ensure food safety for space missions.
